Why
Gas is a dirty fossil fuel and one of the biggest drivers of the climate crisis. Santos is a giant gas company with plans for THREE massive new gas projects. Santos is able to push ahead with these plans by wielding immense political influence in South Australia. We must break our politics free of Santos.
The Tour Down Under is a world-famous cycling race, sponsored by Santos. The race is managed by the South Australian government. We're calling on Labor to Dump Santos as a sponsor of the Tour Down Under!
Optional: Bring a bike helmet, cycling sunglasses, cycling jerseys, lycra shorts, and more. We want to make it clear that we love cycling!
Walking: We will meet at Northern point of Tarntanyangga (Victoria Square), head to the time trails on Wakefield St, and then walk around until we find somewhere near the media!
This action is during the Prologue time trails. The time trails start near Victoria Square on Wakefield St and finish at the Victoria Park grandstand.
We will have flags, placards, banners, drums, lots of bicycle bells, and more!
