Why

On Friday 31 October, there will be a committal hearing for the man charged over the death of Yuko, a beloved Asian migrant sex worker killed in November 2024.

Rising Red Lantern and Vixen invite sex workers and our supporters to join us outside the court to honour her life and stand together in solidarity.

We always remember Yuko wearing red — we invite everyone joining to wear red in her memory.

Red lanterns made by our community will be displayed as symbols of love, remembrance, and strength.

Speakers

Bee Charika – Asian migrant sex worker, Vixen’s Asian Migrant Project Lead, and facilitator of Rising Red Lantern
