Why

The She Matters Stop Killing Women rally is one of many being held across the country on Saturday, March 15.

The rallies will bring attention to Australia's femicide epidemic, while calling for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton and Premier David Crisafulli to roll out meaningful budgetary measures, policy, legal changes and action to end violence against women in our country.

Each rally will commemorate the 117 women killed since January 1, 2024.

14 women have been killed this year (at time of writing) and 102 women were lost last year.
