Why
The WA Government banned fracking in the South West, Peel, Perth and Dampier Peninsula regions in 2018 because of the risks. Despite this, they left the magnificent Kimberley region open to this highly destructive industry.
The Kimberley is filled with some of the world’s most extensive, intact natural landscapes and the rich culture of its Aboriginal custodians. But fracking companies are the closest they've ever been to turning the region into an industrial wasteland. So we teamed up with Kimberley Traditional Owners, climate scientists and economists from The Australia Institute to produce a new film.
