Why

4pm QLD time.

Join Pat O'Shane as she fires up a groundbreaking election campaign for the federal seat of Leichhardt, Far North Qld.

A Kuku Yalanji woman from the Daintree, Pat O'Shane grew up dirt poor under a system designed to keep Indigenous people down. She became Australia's first Indigenous lawyer and magistrate, fighting for justice for ordinary people every step of the way. Voted one of Australia's living treasures, she was also recently awarded NAIDOC's highest honour for Lifetime Achievement for her tireless work for the community.

"As a vocal advocate for climate action, social justice and youth justice, I will hold the government accountable to secure a better future for all - not just the big end of town."

Pat O'Shane is running with Socialist Alliance, in a vibrant, democratic, participatory election campaign which you can be part of.
