Why

Please join us for our major annual event raising funds for the children and community in our care in Aweil, South Sudan. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go straight back to basic necessities and access to schooling for kids and young people in dire circumstances in Aweil.

We have an incredible lineup for you including spoken word poetry by South Sudanese writer Achol Juk and a dance performance by our South Sudanese children’s dance group.

Hear from Mary Gideon, President of the South Sudanese Women's Association of Queensland and Peter Garang Kooch Mabior, President of the South Sudanese Community Association of Queensland aswell as our very own Mama Rosa who will share the story of Project Hope and the situation facing the PHSS community on the ground.

Partake in a delicious traditional South Sudanese dinner and connect with friends new and old, all in the colourful and welcoming Food Connect Shed space.

All welcome.
