Join the FoE Forests Collective for a Snow Gum Art Show where you can browse beautiful artworks & place bids on your favourite photos or paintings.
Enjoy some drinks, snacks, nature poetry & beautiful background music as you wander the gallery to support FoE Forests Collective's snow gum campaign!
The iconic snow gum is in dire trouble. Climate change is causing compounding impacts, like more frequent bushfire & accelerating beetle dieback. FoE Forests has been active on this issue, hosting Snow Gum Summits to & mobilising mountain communities on the ground to conduct citizen science across the High Country.
This is the biggest year yet of our Snow Gum Country campaign, but despite our best efforts, we urgently need to do some fundraising to sustain this unique and crucial work! Thankfully, many of those connected to our Alpine campaign are brilliant artists & photographers! We're grateful to be able to host this unique art auction in Fitzroy due to the generous contributions of these artists and their love for their subject matter – Alpine and subalpine flora & fauna, particularly the iconic Snow Gum.
We'll also be hosting the Dingo Conservancy, who will be debuting a brilliant short film about Alpine Dingoes featuring wildlife biologist Dr. Daniel Hunter, as well as screening a snow gum themed short film by the Forests Collective's own Christina Ding.
