Has human rights law failed us?
In times of genocide, apartheid, and war, many of us are desperate for justice to intervene. Whether you are a human rights fanatic, a skeptic, or just looking to learn more, this event welcomes you to critically engage with the limitations of human rights law and imagine a better future.

The event will be run in two stages, an expert panel discussion followed by interactive small group discussions.
The panel will bring together academic experts from a range of professional backgrounds, and a special guest from a world changing independence movement. You’ll get to see how human rights experts differ in their visions for human rights, and become acquainted with the big issues facing human rights law. Instead of a traditional Q&A our event will have facilitated small table discussions, where you get to ask any big questions you have in a supportive and open environment. We will have a range of tables available where you can engage with experts and your peers alike and truly connect with human rights as a subject. There is no obligation to be an expert or to have done prior research, these discussions are here to help us all learn through sharing and collaboration.

This event is open to everyone, but we ask that participants come with an open mind and maintain respect for our panelists and other guests.
