Why
Join our counter-demonstration against the racist “march for Australia” at 12pm Sunday August 30 at Hyde Park.
March for Australia, who organised the far right anti-immigration rallies last year, are holding another racist march on Sunday 30 August. They are calling for “remigration”, demanding mass deportations of Asian, African and Muslim migrants. The group is run by fascists and white nationalists such as Bec Freedom. Members of the Nazi National Socialist Network have also organised and joined the rallies.
These racist policies are backed up by Pauline Hanson and One Nation. Hanson has also backed the idea of “remigration”, mourned the end of the White Australia Policy, and sat down for an interview with British Nazi Tommy Robinson.
Pauline Hanson is backed by billionaire Gina Rinehart. She, and the far-right racists marching on the streets want to blame migrants for the problems caused by the rich and powerful. They want to punch down on women, trans people, and the most vulnerable in our society.
We cannot allow these politics to become normalised.
We need to mobilise in big numbers to send a message that we reject the politics of One Nation and the far right. Protesting against the the march can help give confidence to all those groups who are targets of her hate to stand up and fight, and helps our side start to build back an opposition to these rotten politics.
