Why
Thursday June 25 marks almost one week since the 6am police raid that shut down the 25-day Waterloo Encampment. Public housing campaigners are using the NSW Budget's silence on public housing to demand the Minns government rethink it's privatisation, eviction and demolition plans for Waterloo's public housing.

- Where: Outside NSW Parliament House, 6 Macquarie St, Sydney
- Who:
- Waterloo South tenants: Rebecca Helen Mccorquodale, Colin Cox, Grant Donohue, Rebecca Reddin

- Waterloo Encampment: Wes Carter
- Political parties: Greens MP Jenny Leong, Socialist Alliance Rachel Evans housing activist
- Why: The Hands Off Waterloo Encampment was raided and shut down at 6am on Friday June 19 by police and Homes NSW officials. An encampment that lasted 25 days, it demands the NSW state government Save Waterloo and end the eviction and demolition plans of the public housing estate. The demolition of public housing in an unprecedented housing crisis is a social crime. The eviction of Waterloo public housing tenants comes on the back of evictions of Mascot, Maroubra tenants. The ALP Minns government and Housing Minister Rose Jackson are waging a war on public housing and the poor.
The NSW Budget, released yesterday contained no funding for public housing. It's only 'solution' offered was a factory to build modular homes, which hasn't been built.
Join Waterloo South tenants, housing activists, Greens MPs and political parties that are organising to end the demolition of public housing.
