Why
Ever wondered who those friendly people are standing around the edges of rallies and protests?
They're Marshals - volunteers who help events run safely and smoothly! If you've ever wanted to get involved in your community but weren't sure where to start, this is a great first step.
- THIS Sunday 5 July
- 3:00-5:00 pm (arrive from 2:45 pm)
- The Dulwich Centre, 20 St John St, Tarntanya (Adelaide)
This beginner-friendly training will introduce you to the role of a marshal, what it involves, and how marshals work alongside other support roles like first aiders, legal observers, and police liaisons to help keep community actions as safe and organised as possible.
No previous experience is needed, and you're welcome to bring along friends! If you're curious about getting involved in activism or community organising, this is an excellent place to start!
(Please note: this training is being facilitated by experienced community organisers, not by @sage.southaus!)
