Why

Muloobinbi/Newcastle premiere of Pig Feast a film which documents the resistance of the Marind, Muyu, Awyu and Mandobo Indigenous communities whose ancestral lands have been chosen as ground zero for the largest forest conversion project in modern history – turning 2.5 million hectares of tropical forest in West Papua into industrial plantations – a form of colonialism in our time.

Executive Producer Victor Mambor and Director Dandhy Laksono will introduce the film.

Entry by donation.

A cheap and tasty meal will be available from 5.30pm.
