Why
Act One is a community fundraising exhibition supporting people in Gaza, Sudan and First Nations communities.
This exhibition is an expression of collective care, resistance and hope.
Tickets available from Ticketebo. Entry is free for Mob (registration is still required to be included in the draw)
We're a collective of Naarm based creatives, organisers and activists connected through the Free Palestine movement. This exhibition is grounded in shared values of solidarity, resistance and community care against war, oppression and colonialism.
We're responding to the ongoing violence and humanitarian crises impacting communities across Gaza, Sudan and beyond. You can help show the people that they are not forgotten and continuing to support grassroots mutual aid campaigns through collective action.
Funds raised will help support:
- Meals for families in Gaza
- Medicine and medical support for Ayham, who is living with serious respiratory illness
- Funds to support twelve women in Gaza
- Grassroots mutual aid campaigns supporting people on the ground
- Ongoing community support for Sudan and First Nations communities
On the day:
- Original artworks and photography prints on exhibition
- Live auction from 6pm
- Silent auction closes at 7pm
- Food by Aheda's Kitchen
- Donation based merch stall with stickers, decals and transfers
- Every ticket goes into the draw to win a prize bag
