Why
Come and watch the documentary There Goes the Neighbourhood, a film produced about stopping the demolition of public housing in Waterloo.
Plus a 20 minute documentary Homes by Eliza Pemberton, a Redfern community member who produced this documentary in 2026. Homes is about public hounding and the community around Waterloo and Redfern.
About There Goes the Neighbourhood: ten years ago, housing tenants and their neighbours started organising against the eviction, demolition and privatisation plans for Waterloo.
They literally lit up their community to raise awareness about the need to save it.
This heart-warming documentary screening will be held at the Save Waterloo Encampment which is resisting the next current stage of the government's attempt to destroy public housing in Waterloo.
Discussion will follow, led by housing tenants who're fighting the Minns government's plans and Homes NSW evictions of tenants.
All welcome. Come by from 5pm we will provide a meal and the film!
