Save Waterloo Occupation
Cope St & McEvoy St
Waterloo NSW 2017
Australia
Why
The ALP Minns government is trying to evict all the public housing tenants out of Waterloo and sell the public land to private developer Stockland.
They have evicted 140 tenants and are set to evict 600 more, and destroy Waterloo's tight-knit community, raze the trees and greenspace and build luxury apartments which no one can afford.
This is a war on the poor and public housing. Demolishing public housing in a housing crisis is criminal.
Waterloo tenants and housing activists have been occupying the corner of Cope and McEvoy Streets, Waterloo to stop the demolition of Waterloo's public housing and eviction of tenants.
Rally with us and see the wonderful Waterloo public housing and community we are saving.
Meet 12 noon at the occupation site, rally through Waterloo, come back to campsite.
