Why

4th May 2026 marks May Day, the day of the worker. Our full strength as workers stems from our solidarity across workplaces, regions, industries, states and countries.

Our duty to international working class people means a duty to support people fighting injustice everywhere including Palestinians currently facing apartheid and genocide. This means cutting ties with apartheid and genocidal regimes is union business!

If you are joining the 2026 Brisbane Labour Day Parade and in a union, walk with your union, carry the Palestinian flag/keffiyeh/sign and march for workers of Gaza, West Bank and Palestine.

For those who support unionism and workers and may not be able to march with a union at this time, join the Justice for Palestine Magan-djin unionists in the Solidarity Contingent on the march. If you are marching with a union, you can step out of the march at any time and join our contingent when it catches up to you.

Meet at 9.30am at Centenary Park, 85 Wickham Street Fortitude Valley. The parade starts at 10am and concludes at the Brisbane Showgrounds.
We are one in struggle. Free Palestine!
