Why
Working It Out invites you to the IDAHOBIT Breakfast & Dorothies Awards 2026. This event is the largest LGBTIQA+ awards event in Lutruwita/Tasmania, and we would love for you, your colleagues and your friends to join us in celebration and solidarity! Come along, show your support, and meet with other organisations and likeminded people.
Tickets include a full buffet breakfast, Dorothies Award presentations, and the opportunity to hear from multiple guest speakers addressing our theme for the 2026: 'Excellence in LGBTIQA+ Inclusion in Family and Sexual Violence Services & Programs'. You will also be the first to hear the announcement of our 2027 theme.
Event ticket sales close at midnight, on Monday, May 11th 2026 (unless sold out). Please purchase early to avoid disappointment. We have limited tickets this year to ensure an optimal experience on the day.
ABOUT IDAHOBIT DAY
May 17th each year is International Day Against Prejudice & Discrimination towards Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans and gender diverse people and people with Intersex characteristics. This date was chosen to commemorate the day of the World Health Organisation’s decision in 1990 to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder.
