Why
USYD will be hosting a Study Abroad Fair on Thursday March 26. We will hold a protest on the same day to call on the University to stop sending students to study on exchange at complicit Israeli universities like the Technion, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv University.
Each of these universities are directly involved in Israel's genocide in Gaza and help uphold its apartheid rule. And maintaining exchange ties with these unis helps to normalise these crimes.
Already we have forced them to cut ties with Israeli arts school Bezalel, who were sewing uniforms for the IDF in Gaza, and in 2024 a student sit-in forced Tel Aviv Uni out of the Study Abroad Fair.
USYD must cut all ties now! Join the speakout at 1pm on Thursday March 26 at the Quad Lawns.
