Why

Join us on Sunday 29 March to show your support for a more peaceful and compassionate world. This is a community event for justice, respect and kindness, calling for communities in which everyone can feel safe and respected, and refugees are welcomed.

The theme this year is "Together We Are Stronger". The Walk will commence from the Gregory Street Amphitheatre and proceed along the footpath to Strand Park. We will walk around Strand Park then back to the Amphitheatre where there will be several short speeches and music.

The Walk is a joint initiative of the Townsville Amnesty International Action Group and Townsville Multicultural Support Group (TMSG).
Note: the event commences and finishes at the Gregory Street Amphitheatre which is at the corner of the Strand and Gregory Street.
