Why

We are commemorating the 80th anniversary of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki when the first atomic bombs were stealthily dropped over these two Japanese cities, killing and maiming thousands and destroying homes, workplaces, hospitals and more.

Speakers are:

  • Leigh Shears Secretary Hunter Workers (Newcastle Trades Hall Council)
  • Nick Deane Marrickville Peace Group

Newcastle Peoples’ Chorus will be singing as will Matthew and Kathy Clarke - Two Voices in a Crowd.
