Why

On May 7 India launched missile strikes in nine locations in Pakistan, killing as many as 31 people and injuring dozens. India’s right-wing Hindu nationalist Modi government used Harop drones made in Israel to kill civilians.

The Modi regime used the tragic killing of 26 tourists in Pahalgam, Kashmir, as the pretext to launch their strikes against Kashmir and Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan have nuclear weapons and this escalates the threat of nuclear war. Kashmir, an area under occupation, is disputed territory and deserves self-determination, not bombing.

Speaker: Ammar Ali Jan, general secretary of the Haqooq-e-Khalq (Peoples Rights) Party and a member of the Council of Advisors of the Progressive International.
