Why

Nornalup's ancient Tingle forests are one of WA’s most famous tourism drawcards. Yet they are under threat from unnecessary prescribed burning this summer.

Come along to show your support for protecting the Tingles and hear about other ways to make Southwest towns bushfire safe without destroying the forests.

  • When: Saturday 18 January 2025 | 10am
  • Where: Meet at the jetty at Settlers Park, Riverside Drive, Nornalup.

Limited parking is available at the park, instead, if you are able please park nearby on Macpherson Drive pinned on Google Maps.

Or see the map and instructions pinned in the event discussion.

Please then follow the signs or instructions from the marshalls to the jetty.

We encourage carpooling and a bus is available from Denmark: The bus will depart from the Denmark Visitors Centre at 8:30am and will return from Nornalup at 12pm.

RSVP: Please register so we can keep you updated.

Access: The jetty is wheelchair accessible via a boardwalk.

COVID-19 is still an issue in the community and we want to prioritise safety. It is important to us that we are building a community that takes care of all. The event will be outside but masks are still welcome and encouraged. Please stay home if you feel unwell.
