Why
An anti-imperialism solidarity rally drawing attention to Australia's role in upholding genocidal occupations, apartheid states and war crimes across the globe.
This year alone, under the Albanese Labor Government, Australian weapons manufacturers have sent over 50 shipments of arms to Israel - arms that will be used to commit horrific war crimes and human rights abuses against innocent Palestinian civilians.
Sadly, this is nothing new. Australia has a long legacy of upholding colonial occupations and committing its own imperialism right across the world, from East Timor and West Papua on our own doorstep, to the overthrow of democratically elected governments in South-America; from the western wars waged in the Middle East, to the ongoing resource theft happening in Africa.
