Why

Ukraine Geurnica Art not War is film by renowned Australian artist George Gittoes and Hellen Rose about artists waging a war on war. It is in the context of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine, and the situation in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US forces. It is an anti-war film in the tradition of Picasso’s ‘Guernica’ and Jon and Yoko’s War is Over. The process of creation is carefully followed in the face of the destruction the artists have witnessed in Ukraine and Afghanistan. Duel projects are completed at the destroyed House of Culture in Irpin Ukraine and at the Yellow House Art School in Jalalabad.
Funds raised will assist George and Hellen in their work.
