XR Mother's Rebellion meet PLAN E

When

Where

Arts Centre Melbourne
100 St Kilda Rd
Southbank VIC 3004
Australia

Why

For ALL women who care for children, such as mothers, grandmothers, aunties, sisters, daughters, godmother's, allies and so on.

About

"Mothers rebellion is a peaceful gathering of concerned mothers and carers of the future. We will sit together in a circle to share our concerns for the uncertain environment we are entering. We know that those least responsible for the climate crises are also the most impacted.

We believe in the power of mothers and caretakers to demand climate justice.

Mothers are universal. Throughout history mothers have stood up and fought injustice. We believe that mothers have the power to reach out into the hearts, souls, and minds of not only our politicians, but every human on the planet.

Invitation

Now we want to invite you to come and sit with us in a moment of global solidarity. We will sit in a circle peacefully facing the passers-by, playing music, and helping ourselves and others to connect
with our climate emotions. Signs with the names of our children or other messages can be included."

At Arts Centre, Melbourne

Speaker

Dr. Liz Boulton will be the speaker on August 19th and she will talk about "PLAN E". PLAN E is the world's first climate and ecologically centred security strategy. Dr Boulton decsribes it as a feminine approach to security and strategy where, informed by care ethics, bold action is taken to CARE for planetary life and children's futures. It is a call for care with muscles, or to quote the late actress Elizabeth Taylor, care with "guts and guile."

Liz Boulton is an Aunt to 7.
