Margaret River Forest Rally

When

Where

Margaret River Rotary Park
3/69 Bussell Hwy
Wooditchup WA 6285
Australia

Why

Every day, here in the southwest, we allow an area of native forest the size of 10 football fields to be logged or cleared!

Because we know very little about these complex forest communities, we have failed to comprehend their true value left standing.

Once logged they are never the same and with every consecutive logging the ecological integrity and health diminishes further.

Native forest logging is unsustainable, destructive and wasteful.

Native forests are the best carbon sinks we have.

Logging and clearing are a crime in this climate!

Join the Forest Rally:

  • Memorial Park, Margaret River
  • Saturday 22 August, 12 noon

Be informed: speak out!!

Let our politicians know that in the “new normal” native forests must be left intact and standing.
