This has been an extraordinary year. Our best ever bowler, Warnie, morphed into an Austin Powers leading lady, the British royal family dominated the media in a non-scandalous event, the Aussie dollar wowed Wall Street and our prime minster received a poodle for her 50th birthday.

Year in the Rear is a rip and read thrash-through the big issues of the past 12 months. Hosted by HG Nelson, this end of year chin-wag also features panellists Mikey Robbins (Good News Week), Amanda Keller (Takin’ ’Bout Your Generation and breakfast radio) and James Valentine (ABC 702 Afternoons).

After the panel has had a crack there will be an opportunity for the audience to set the agenda Q&A style.

HG Nelson said: “If crisis is opportunity, 2011 has been a great 12 months. Join the Year in the Rear panel of Robins, Valentine, Keller and yours truly as we sink the slipper and send the whole shebang past the s-bend and into the treatment works of time.”

Year in the Rear is the perfect way to review the year that was, as well as get a heads up of what we can expect in 2012. All funds raised from ticket sales and activities on the night will support the vital work of the Asylum Seekers Centre of NSW.

The only organisation of its kind in NSW, the Asylum Seekers Centre provides front-line practical support for community-based asylum seekers who have fled persecution or other dangers in their countries of origin. It relies solely on grants, donations and public support to enable us to assist more than 500 asylum seekers each year.
