More than 2000 people rallied in Forest Place on October 28 to demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to Israel's genocidal war on Gaza.

Since October 7, more than 7000 Palestinian people in Gaza have been killed, including 3000 children.

The protest was organised by Friends of Palestine WA.

As well as condemning Israel's genocide, speakers demanded an end to the West’s complicity with Israel.

Australia abstained from a United Nations General Assembly vote on October 28 which called for an immediate ceasefire. It was supported by 120 countries, opposed by 14 and 45 abstained.

[Friends of Palestine WA has called another rally on November 4 at 12.30pm at Forest Place.]
