Zack Schofield
Speaker Zack Schofield will talk on his recent experience on the Global Sumud Flotilla, attempting to break the Israeli blockaid and deliver aid to Gaza.
Armistice Flute Choir
"Armistice" means truce, ceasefire, agreement. Armistice Flutes perform their own compositions/improvisations against wars, promoting peace and hope, featuring flutists Liz Cheung, Chloe Chung, Laura Chislett, Jessica Scott and Keyna Wilkins. In December they recorded their debut album at A Sharp Studios Riverwood - 45 minutes of their 7 works for 5 flutes including bass flute, alto flute, piccolo and C flute. All proceeds will be donated directly to Palestine Children's Relief Fund.
Palestinian and Levantine ensemble, Dabke & Tatreez
Dabke and Tatreez is a performance project, to protect the music, culture, heritage and traditions of the People of Palestine. It made its Sydney Opera House debut on 6th July 2025, making history. It was the first time that Palestinian music was presented in the world famous landmark's 50 year history. This year, it also made its debut at Woodford Folk Festival, Brisbane, as well as the National Folk Festival in Canberra.The Ensemble, made up predominantly of artists/alumni from Edward Said Conservatorium of Music, in Gaza, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, as well as Three Rivers Ensemble, with Palestinian, Lebanese/Indonesian, Syrian/Palestinian/Turkish, and Turkish/Cypriot heritage.Dabke and Tatreez have set their sights on making their international debut, in 2027.
