Why

"Armistice" means truce, ceasefire, agreement. Armistice Flutes perform their own compositions/improvisations against wars, promoting peace and hope, featuring flutists Liz Cheung, Chloe Chung, Laura Chislett, Jessica Scott and Keyna Wilkins.

In December they recorded their debut album at A Sharp Studios Riverwood - 45 minutes of their 7 works for 5 flutes including bass flute, alto flute, piccolo and C flute.

Tickets available at the door, or from Humanitix. This is a fundraiser for the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund (PCFR).

Keyna Wilkins is a pioneering Australian/British composer-musician. She was one of three finalists for the Australian Art Music Awards for Individual Excellence in 2021 and 2018 (APRA/AMCOS). Her works are published by Wirripang and are performed internationally.

Chloe Chung is a cross-cultural flutist, playing Western flute and dizi (Chinese bamboo flute), teaching music, and collaborating with others to foster unexpected musical forms and connections throughout Sydney. She has also recently completed a season performing with Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra Miss Saigon tour or Asia.

Laura Chislett is a flutist educator and recording artist across a wide range of musical styles. Her recorded repertoire ranges from JS Bach and Lili Boulanger, to Brian Ferneyhough, Reza Vali, improvisation and for the iconic Australian TV series, Against The Wind.

Jessica Scott is a versatile performer, specialising in orchestral, contemporary, improvised and experimental performance and a recent graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London.

Liz Cheung is a performer-improviser in Adelante Tango, the DeeBeeTees, musician and illustrator in Dreambox Collective, and appears as guest artist with various other ensembles including Meow Meow Casio.

Armistice Flute Choir formed in 2025 and have performed at numerous peace and charity fundraiser events around Sydney over the last 12 months.
