The artists
Phil Monsour is a fierce voice for justice, a passionate performer, and a Brisbane-based singer-songwriter who turns resistance into rhythm. With over two decades of powerful songwriting under his belt, Monsour creates music that doesn’t just speak truth to power — it sings it loud. Blending acoustic rock with Middle Eastern influences and sharp political edge, Phil’s music takes on war, occupation, exile, inequality, and the silences that need breaking.
Scarlet Gypsy Quartet bring a dynamic, exhilarating repertoire of much-loved jazz favourites and contemporary vibes. Gypsy jazz, swing & bossa tunes, imbued with Django traditions and international flavours, spiced with passionate energy, irreverent humour and infectious joie de vivre, creates warm-hearted and joyful connections.\r\nCarole marco (vocal), Eddie Gazani (guitar & vocals), Roberto Fontana (trumpet & vocals) & Nico Iaia (percussion & vocals).
