Why

The City of Stonnington invites you to a Healing Ceremony with our Traditional Custodians, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples of the Kulin Nation, to pay respect and acknowledge their living connection to Country, relationship with the land and all living things extending back tens of thousands of years.

Join us for:

  • Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony with Wurundjeri Elder Aunty Annette Xiberras
  • Yidaki performance by Kiernan Ironfield
  • Musical performance by John Wayne Parsons and band
  • BBQ lunch.

The ceremony supports Council’s Reconciliation journey and provides an opportunity for the community to learn about what the day means to Traditional Custodians.
