Why

Join @this_mob for banner painting for the 2026 Invasion Day rally on Sunday 18th January at Balam Balam place.

We’ll be painting banners from 11am-4pm, and will supply materials for all to use. Please bring along a donation to help cover costs, as well as deadly ideas to paint onto banners and placards!

We’re so excited to be joined by lubly @gamminthreads for custom t-shirt making! Bring along a plain cotton garment to create your own unique design using Gammin’s signature style.

Please bring cash along with you! There will be a BBQ with delicious snacks to sustain us throughout the day! We will be donating funds raised between two key fundraisers that are supporting community.

We’ll be located on the ground floor, across both indoor and outdoor spaces. Balam Balam place is an accessible venue with wheelchair accessible bathrooms.

Also! @blakdotgallery is having an opening event for the Grained exhibition at 2pm and we encourage people to check out the new show.

Transport

How to get there (15 Phoenix Street Brunswick 3056).

Tram: Catch route #19 and hop off at Brunswick Town Hall. It’s a short walk from there.

Bus: 506 bus will take you to the corner of Glenlyon and Sydney Road. It’s a short walk from there.

Train: Catch the Upfield Line train to Brunswick Station. It’s a five minute walk from there.

Bike: The Upfield bike path will take you to the venue. You can chain your bike at the venue.

Parking on site is restricted and as such there is no community parking on site. There are convenient on-site loading and unloading spaces if needed. There is easily accessible public car parking to the south on Dawson Street, across the road from the Brunswick Baths

This event is taking place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge the Wurundjeri as the Traditional Owners. All of our respect goes to the Elders past and present in their continued fight against the ongoing colonisation of their lands.

Thank you @lil_rio___ for making this poster for us, @_bonjour.bub & @_athletica for original banner design.
