Why

The committee invites all members of the Sudanese-Australian community and their friends from the wider Australian society to join the peaceful solidarity rally with our people in El-Fasher and Bara, as an expression of our support for the victims and our rejection of the ongoing genocide, ethnic cleansing, and crimes against humanity committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which continue to besiege civilians, cut communications, and commit atrocities under systematic starvation and a deepening humanitarian catastrophe.

This rally aims to reaffirm our collective voice against genocide and ethnic cleansing, and to call for the opening of humanitarian corridors, the protection of civilians, and an immediate end to the war, while condemning all forms of foreign support that sustain these atrocities — especially the role of the United Arab Emirates.

The committee also calls on the Australian Government and the international community to:

  • Increase humanitarian aid to Sudan;
  • Support the Sudanese-Australian community through migration and family reunification programs;
  • And welcome more Sudanese refugees fleeing genocide and persecution.
