Why

Amid the genocide in Gaza and widespread concern about the AUKUS military pact, the Federal and NSW Labor governments are hosting a three-day arms bonanza, November 4-6, to accelerate the military build-up in Australia.

The Expo features BAE Systems, Elbit Systems, Lockheed Martin, Rafael, Raytheon and Boeing.

Such an event aims to help embed Australia more deeply into US war plans, with AUKUS aimed at a US-led war with China.

Labor must cancel AUKUS, including the nuclear-powered submarines, and stop providing weapons to assist Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

Australia must sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

The hundreds of billions allocated to AUKUS must be redirected to vital climate action and social programs.
