Rent has skyrocketed, people are struggling to find housing and afford their food, and they wanna flatten a building of working-class flats and wreck a garden—all so a developer can make a million bucks??
This Saturday, join us to rally against the destruction of the gardens, against the gentrification of our area, and against building luxury apartments for the rich while the rest of us struggle.
We will be starting at Bunyapa park and then marching to the garden at 250 Boundary Street, where there'll be some speeches and a tour of the garden.
This garden grows on Yuggera land, which the Yuggera people never ceded to the state. We grow free food for people who need it here with their permission. This always was and always will be Yuggera land.
