Why

Come celebrate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander art, culture, dance, music, politics and heritage at the largest one day gathering of our First Nations cultures in Australia, held on 26th of January upon the traditional lands of the Gadigal people in Sydney.

Established in 2001, Yabun (meaning ‘music to a beat’ in Gadigal language) is a free event that features live music, a bustling stalls market, panel discussions and community forums on Aboriginal issues, children’s activities, and traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural performances. Yabun Festival welcomes everyone to join us in this one of a kind event which honours the survival of the world’s oldest living culture.

If you're keen to hold a stall in our bustling marketplace please contact [email protected] for more info.

If you're keen to get involved and volunteer on the day contact [email protected] for all the details.

Alternatively you can go straight to our website www.yabun.org.au for all the important info and to fill out an application.

For updates check the Facebook event.
