The Melbourne Festival was opened on 6 October with the annual Kulin Tanderrum, the meeting of the five clans of the Kulin Nation: Wurundjeri, Boon Wurrung, Taungurung, Dja Dja Wurrung and Wadawurrung, to acknowledge the lore of the creator spirit Bunjil, Welcome To Country and pay respects to the vibrant living culture of this country.
