The rioters on Wall Street

Issue

As I write these words, out-of-control hordes are swarming throughout downtown Manhattan.

Their disregard for human decency, for the sanctity of people’s homes, jobs, property and health is beyond anything seen since the Dark Ages.

These men and women, almost all of them white and disturbingly antiseptic for people living in a filthy and crowded city, are dressed in bizarre outfits.

Their heads and faces are exposed, but even in the stifling heat of New York’s summer, every inch of them is covered in dark suits and they drape odd cloths around their necks, tied into a choking knot at their throats.

They tap away ceaselessly at handheld digital devices, even as they walk the streets. I’m told each tap can lead to hundreds, even thousands of jobs destroyed.

With a phone call or text, this marauding band of rioters can foreclose on a person’s house, pillage the 401-K (a form of United States retirement savings account) of any nurse or teacher and even transfer whole industries from one country to another leaving entire communities devastated.

The property destruction pales in comparison to the toll it appears to be taking on the health and welfare of millions. These feral stockbrokers and bankers seem to have it in for older people, in particular.

Those over 55 have been targeted for a future of unending unemployment and early death.

Those under 30, perversely, are targeted for menial jobs, regardless of education, and lives spent surfing from couch to couch — always in terror of the worst fate of all, having to move back home with their parents.

Do not approach Wall Street alone! Always go with at least several hundred, if not thousands, of allies.

They are dangerous and arrogant and steeped in the ideology of the anarchy of the market. Beware the mindless violence of these Wall Street rioters!
