University of Sydney students will vote on the position their Student Representative Council (SRC) takes on Palestine at a student general meeting on April 1.

The meeting comes on the back of a campaign that has collected over 400 student signatures in support of the meeting.

The Sydney University Postgraduate Representative Association (SUPRA) voted to support Palestine Solidarity Week (PSW) on March 12 with a $1500 grant.

Students 4 Palestine member Patrick Langosch told Green Left Weekly: "This is a chance for students to show what direction they want their student union to go in".

At the University of Western Sydney, Bankstown campus, the first meeting of Students 4 Palestine on March 13 also resolved to organise PSW on the campus.
