Myall Creek 1838

Issue

John Fleming still rides free
one hundred and seventy years after
the massacre. The plaque set up to
honour the twenty-eight (who were
slaughtered for the theft of a cow)
has been defaced by Fleming who
is still very much alive in Northern New
South Wales. In fact, many support Flemo
as he gallops across the country.
Come to think of it, no one
has ever really tried to catch the man.
Like the cops at Nimbin we all turn
a blind eye.
