Gay refugee detained

Issue

A gay refugee from Iran is currently being held in South Australia's Baxter detention centre. He is applying for a bridging visa and waiting for his appeal to be heard by the High Court.

The detainee's name cannot be made public, but two Adelaide men are in contact with him and are in the process of establishing a support network to provide financial assistance. To join this "Circle of friends", email Paul Hyam at <paulhyam@internode.on.net>.
