EAG contesting elections

CANBERRA — The main tickets running in this year's Students Association elections at the Australian National University include Labor and Liberal Party tickets and the Education Action Group (EAG).

The EAG consists of Resistance, ISO and other activists involved in the campaign against education cuts, and despite debate around the most effective strategy for the campaign, the ticket is on the common goal of defeating the cuts.

The EAG is not only running to win the elections and keep out of office the Liberals, and the Labor students who have obstructed the campaign this year, but also to draw more students into the EAG and build the ongoing campaign against the attacks on education.
