Caravan for peace

By Milan Nikolic

BELGRADE — A peace movement is finally emerging in Serbia. Several groups have formed in the past two months, including: Citizens for Peace Actions, the Centre for Anti-War Activities, the Helsinki Citizens Assembly for Yugoslavia, Physicians for Prevention of War, and Soldiers' Mothers.

These initiatives have been joined by the Greens, the Women's Lobby, the Feminist Party and others.

All these groups will take part in an international peace caravan, which will begin September 25 in Trieste and Ohrid, Macedonia, and end in Sarajevo four days later. — Yugofax
