Why

This Palm Sunday, our message is clear - Refugees and Migrants are Welcome Here. Join us at the Palm Sunday rally to add your voice to call for an end to cruelty to refugees, an end to scapegoating of migrants and Say No to Racism.

Speakers include: Senator David Pocock, Reverend Belinda Groves and Amnesty International's Zaki Haidari.

The recent racist anti-immigrant protests in Australia blame migrants and refugees for the lack of housing to cost of living and more. Both Labor and the Coalition not only refuse to reject this blame-shifting, they are actively contributing to it.

The evidence shows that refugees and migrants enrich our community, socially and economically. It is not migrants and refugees who are corroding our social fabric, but those who seek to whip up fear and create division and hatred.

Stand up for fairness and humanity. Community contingents to gather at Petrie Plaza (the merry-go-round) at 12.30pm on rally day.
