The COVID-19 pandemic has revealed an arrogant, uncaring federal government desperately trying to shift responsibility for the crisis to others. Now health care workers are buckling under the strain, supply chains are breaking down, thousands of people are infected and dozens are dying daily. Yet workers in every industry are expected to put themselves at risk without access to free RAT tests. They are bullied into returning to work while positive placing the health & safety of others at risk.

This forum will look at the responses of key unions and how workers could mount a united campaign to keep everyone safe.

SPEAKERS:

Andrew Hewat, assistant state secretary, Victorian Allied Health Professions

Adele Welsh, Geelong Trades Hall president & Australian Services Union delegate

More Speakers TBA.

This event will be organised in a covid-safe matter in line with all COVID-19 restrictions. If attending in-person you must be fully vaccinated and wear a face mask.
