Stella Assange, lawyer, free speech advocate, mother, and wife of Julian Assange, headlined a 1000-strong rally to free Julian Assange on May 24.
It is her first visit to Australia, timed to coincide with the Quad meeting, which was to be in Sydney with United States President Joe Biden.
“It's been a bit bitter-sweet because I always imagined that my first visit to Australia to be with Julian and the kids.
“It won't be my last trip, obviously, because I'm going to come back here with Julian,” she said to applause.
