Why

Join Students for Palestine for a film screening of 'Gaza fights for Freedom'.

Released in 2019, this film is a must-see for anyone interested in the history of Palestine and the context of Israel’s ongoing genocide. Filmed from within Gaza, it documents the Great March of Return Protests in 2018. In the weeks long campaign of civil disobedience, Gazans bravely protested for their right to return to their ancestral land which Israel stole from them. In the ensuing repression, Israeli snipers brutally murdered 200 unarmed protestors. The film also tells the inspiring story of Palestinian resistance against seemingly impossible odds, and serves as a powerful call for global solidarity with Palestine.

This is a free film screening and is open to everyone.

Location: University of Queensland - Room: UQ Forgan Smith E302
