Newcastle held an exhibition of the SIEV-X series of painting by Kate Durham (2006) through October.
Sunday 22nd is its last day, and then it will travel to Townsville to be exhibited by Amnesty there.
Afghani poet Adbul Samad Haidari just recently made it from Indonesia to NZ. His book The Red Ribbon was a best seller in Indonesia a few years back, and his new book will be out soon published by Palaver Press (Melb). He will join us by zoom to discuss his journey, resettlement, and the lives of the other 14,000 asylum seekers in INdonesia
