Two hundred dollars for the Cuban Hurricane Relief Fund was raised at a screening of the new documentary Salud!, which examines Cuba's remarkable attitude to health care — both within Cuba and around the world.

The film was introduced by Dr Brian Senewiratne, who contrasted Cuba's inspiring example of providing health care for all who need it, to horrific cases he witnesses from Sri Lanka through to Queensland.

Salud! details Cuba's unparalleled record in sending doctors to countries in need. The film also looks at how Cuba is striving to help countries become self-sufficient in health care, including running the largest medical school in the world, with students from across the globe, including poor areas of the US, studying there.
